Ambon (Antara Maluku) - The University of Pattimura Ambon (Unpatti) in the Indonesian province of Maluku is exploring cooperation with the University of Lancaster in Britain, according to Unpatti spokesman Bob Mose.

"We are currently exploring cooperation with the University of Lancaster in the field of machinery engineering, renewable energy, and exchange of students and lecturers between the two universities," the vice rector of Unpatti for inter-institutional cooperation stated here on Friday.

Bob noted that the experts in the field of machinery engineering and renewable energy from the two universities will discuss cooperation via videoconferencing in two weeks.

"In the next two weeks, we will hold a videoconference for the experts from the two universities to discuss the cooperation process, particularly in the field of engineering and renewable energy," Bob remarked.

According to Bob, the University of Lancaster plans to sends some of its students to Ambon to study at Unpatti for several months and will, in turn, invite Unpatti students and lecturers to Britain.

"This is part of an exchange program for students and lecturers between Unpatti and the University of Lancaster," he affirmed.
