Ternate, N Maluku, March 31 (Antaranews Maluku) - Tubo Ternate Batik, North Maluku, opened the gallery by launching four new batik motifs that will be distributed across various galleries, with typical and traditional products and home souvenirs.

"North Maluku`s souvenir house is one of the solutions for small and medium enterprises (SME) craftsmen to develop the market, so that the products of business players can be sold at several places," Batik Tubo Owner Kustalani Syakir stated here on Saturday.

Syakir added that Tubo Batik also unveiled four newest motifs -- Fuli Pala, Amo Maitara, Ikang Cakalang, and Funai -- on the day of the launch of the souvenir house.

In addition, the four newest motifs have different philosophical values. For instance, the funai motif, which is an iconic fishing tool of North Maluku.

Syakir said he along with his team had introduced two motifs -- Fuli Pala and Amo Maitara -- both dedicated to the city.

"Since Fuli Pala was the most popular motif in the colonial era, so it was chosen as a means to highlight North Maluku`s endemic motif," he remarked.

Syakir noted that tubo batik had a total of 37 motifs created when he was fishing in the Maitara Island.

"I commend Maitara Island, so I dedicate the motifs to that place," he stated.

Meanwhile, the souvenir house showcases products from different creative domestic industry players.

Moreover, some 20 products, including sweet soy, syrup, and candied nutmeg, are supplied to the souvenir house.
