Ambon, June 17 (Antara) - Pattimura Military Commander Major General Doni Monardo has encouraged young people in Maluku Province to become individuals who have high national insight and spirit of Pancasila to spread positive messages for the unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Monardo called on the youths of Maluku to spread positive messages in the closing ceremony of an upgrading for state defense cadres here on Friday evening.
The five-day upgrading was participated in by around one hundred students from different senior high schools in the eastern Indonesian city of Ambon, the center of Maluku provincial administration.
"I expect you to be wise and insightful. Do not convey messages that can corner others, but be a younger generation capable of influencing others and all societies to do positive things," he told the students, participating in the upgrading.
The Pattimura Military commander noted that the upgrading for the state defense cadres aimed to instill the values of struggle, which has been built by the founders of the nation, in the lives of the younger generation of Maluku Province.
