Ternate, N Maluku, June 20 (Antara) - The Water police of North Halmahera, North Maluku, in cooperation with the local search and rescue team, is searching for three fishermen who went missing off Doi Isle, Loloda Islands Sub-district, North Halmahera, since Saturday.
"The missing fishermen are Muakir Muhammad and Abubakar Hamisi, both residents of the Tuakara Village, and another is an inhabitant of Tobelo," Adjunct Senior Commissioner Ivan Indarto, head of the North Halmahera Police, stated here, Tuesday.
They went missing while fishing aboard a 15-PK boat.
The local police have deployed an entire team to search for the fishermen, but the effort was hampered by bad weather.
Indarto has urged the local fishermen to remain vigilant while fishing in such bad weather.
