Tertane (Antara Maluku)- Floods triggered by incessant heavy rains have submerged hundreds of houses in Pulau Taliabu District, North Maluku Province, over the last four days.
Badadi hamlet is the worst hit by the floods reaching a height of up to one meter, Secretary of the Pulau Taliabu District Syamsuddin Ode Maniwi remarked here, Monday.
The local administration has planned to improve the drainage system and clean up the river basin areas in the district.
